The Gap Between Where You Are and Where You Want to Be

Hello Reader,

Have you ever felt like there’s an invisible force holding you back from the life you dream about? You can see where you want to be, but something keeps you rooted in place. This gap between your current reality and your potential isn’t a sign of failure – it’s an invitation to grow.

Consider this: Every time you scroll through social media and feel that twinge of envy, every time you catch yourself saying “someday,” and every time you compromise on your dreams, you’re actually receiving valuable information. These moments are your inner compass pointing toward what matters most to you.

I remember working with a client who kept a journal of these “twinge moments” for a month. What emerged was a clear pattern – she wasn’t craving other people’s lives; she was craving permission to live her own life more boldly. Once she recognized this, everything shifted. She started taking small but significant steps toward her goals, and within six months, she had launched her own business.

This Week’s Tool: The Life Wheel Assessment Take 15 minutes to complete this powerful visualization exercise: 1. Draw a large circle and divide it into 8 segments, labeling each with a key life area: Career, Health, Relationships, Personal Growth, Finance, Fun/Recreation, Physical Environment, and Life Purpose 2. Rate your satisfaction in each area from 1-10 (1 being lowest, 10 highest) 3. Draw a line in each segment at your rating number, creating a “wheel” 4. Connect the lines to see how smooth or bumpy your wheel would be if it were to roll

This visual representation helps identify which areas need attention to create a more balanced, fulfilling life. Take a photo of your wheel – we’ll revisit it in the future to track your progress.

What’s your gap telling you? Let’s explore it together. Contact me at empowered@coachedbyernest.com to begin your journey toward closing that gap.

But beneath the accolades and achievements, there was a quest for deeper meaning, a longing to understand my true purpose. That path led me here, to you.Why am I a life coach? Because I believe in transformation. I’ve experienced it, from the trials of burnout to the triumphs of breakthroughs. I’ve seen the power of understanding one’s strengths, and the profound impact of reshaping our thoughts, words, and actions. But more than that, I’ve learned that our deepest growth comes from connection—real, human connection. My newsletter is designed to share our shared journey to becoming whole and engaging in our life's passion. I believe we can learn so much from each other's journeys, from the victories and the vulnerabilities. Ready to start your transformation? Unapologetic March 17, 2026 Hi brother, Let me tell you about two men. Both committed to the same practice in February. Same intention. Same understanding of why it matters. Same desire to show up differently. One of them is still doing it. One of them isn't. The difference isn't motivation. It isn't discipline. It isn't character. It's architecture. The Story We Tell About Inconsistency When men fall off a practice, they tell themselves a specific story. I'm just not a consistent person.I...

Unapologetic March 10, 2026 Hi brother, I need to talk to you about something most coaches won't say out loud. There's a phase in this work that feels like nothing is happening. No momentum. No visible progress. No signal that any of it is working. You're still showing up. Still doing the practice. Still choosing yourself in small moments throughout the day. But the results you were expecting haven't materialized. The suddenly feels further away than it did last month. This phase has a name:...

Unapologetic March 3, 2026 Hi brother, You planted in February. Maybe you’re not sure it took. Maybe you’re looking around for evidence and not finding much. Here’s what I need you to understand before we go any further into March: Growth shows up in your body before it shows up in your life. Before the promotion. Before the conversation. Before the relationship shifts. Your body gets the news first. Most men miss it because they’re looking in the wrong place. They’re scanning their...
